I went to Catholic school for 14 years and this really doesn't surprise me all that much. In my grade school and junior high the girls couldn't even paint their nails, wear jewelry, or earrings. WTF?! why do they care? At my high school and hair had to be cut above ear length or they told you not to come back until it was cut and at least once every month hey enforced it. They also wouldn't allow you to wear any clothing that had a logo any larger than like the small polo pony etc. Once, I wore a polo shirt with a big pony and the dean of discipline told me to cover it up, change shirts, or go home. what was i supposed to cover it up with? my sweater that i wasn't allowed to wear because it had a slightly large on it? Or maybe my coat that we weren't allowed to wear? or maybe i should have taken off that shirt? no cant do that cause an undershirt has no collar. So really i had two choices find another shirt or go home. Why do they care about a logo on a shirt? at that point, there were only two people at the entire school that gave two shits about the clothes they wore me and this other kid. the fact is it is an all guys school and relatively speaking no one cares about the clothes other people wear? you cant even say that it makes people jealous or whatever bullshit excuses many private schools use for uniforms. its just ridiculous but i can sadly believe it.
